BUILDING SCIENCE
Using Infrared thermal imaging in Building Science allows the evaluation of a structure and the performance of the components of that structure. Infrared thermal imaging is a preventative maintenance tool used in both residential and business structure evaluation for identifying possible issues.
Infrared technology reveals detailed information not visible to the human eye by measuring the temperature variations of an object with respect to its surroundings.
Every object has a temperature signature, the Infrared technology uses this information to identify existing temperature differences and reveal anomalies. Monies are saved by only replacing the areas damaged or needing repair.
Infrared technology can be used on all interior walls and floors to identify any anomalies that exist, moisture intrusion, insulation voids and in-floor radiant heat systems.
As a HERS Certified Rater and an Energy Star Verifier, we can complete projected HERS rating, energy modeling for your structure to analyze structural and mechanical components of the building for energy performance. Buildings types include homes, office and commercial buildings.
